は英語でどう表現すればいいでしょうか？

を言うときに使うといえば
look forward to

ですね。

I look forward to see you

と言っている人がたまにいますが

look forward to

の to は前置詞の扱いなのでそれに続く動詞は動名詞でなければNGです。

I am looking forward to seeing you

が正解です。

Looking forward to see you としないようにしてください。

バンクーバーの法律でちょっと変わってるなと思ったことがありました。

それは雪が降った日は午前10時までに自分の家の前の通りの雪を除雪しないといけないという法律です。

除雪しないと罰金もあります！

以下、バンクーバー市の条例より抜粋

Vancouver property owners are responsible for clearing snow and ice from the sidewalks that surround their property by 10 a.m.

The City’s snow removal by-law applies to all property owners in the cityexcept one- and two-family residences outside the downtown peninsula — south of Burrard Inlet, north of Terminal Avenue, False Creek and English Bay, west of Main Street, and east of Stanley Park.

Property owners who fail to remove snow and ice as required by the by-law may be subject to a fine of up to $2,000, or the City can have the snow removed and bill the owner for the cost.
